Kannassans are an entity representing an important stage of evolution of Malayalam literature. Kannasa Mission School, which is in the name of Kannassans is an educational institution functioning in a praiseworthy way.

At a time when Sanskrit literature was at the zenith of its fame and popularity, Kannassans gave a new life to Malayalam literary activities.

The word Kannassans denote four persons namely Rama Panicker, Madhava Panicker, Sankara Panicker and Karunesans. Works by Karunesan have not been traced out and hence it is generally assumed that there were, only three Kannassans.

About Kannasa Mission HS

Kannasa Mission High School was started in 1990 by the late Tirumala S. Suseelan Nair, who was a model teacher award winner of the state government and a former councilor of Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation. Today LKG to 10th standard is imparting excellent education while taking great care to nurture the children as value conscious citizens. That is what Anand implements here through the words of Paulo Coelho. In the last eight years, Kannasa Mission High School has a hundred percent pass rate for SSLC. This year, out of 139 students who appeared for the SSLC exam, 45 passed with A plus in all subjects with a 100% pass rate. This brilliant success in the private sector in the district is also due to Kannasa.
